About our course

I am taking a beginning Irish language class and this is the book they use in class. A well conceived approach to learning what can at best be described as a “challenging” language. It seems that everyone these days is in love with Duolingo.

As a linguist caine has studied Irish for a little over 20 years, I still believe this is the best beginner book of Irish for those otherwise averse to “heavy grammar” type text books. I am very pleased with this purchase.

It is no surprise that this book has its legendary reputation; it is clearly as good as it gets for students who do not have daily access to a teacher. The show was designed to appeal to young viewers, and was lively and humorous.
